Dandavat pranams
As I promised all of you I would be sending few pics about HH Jayapataka
Swami at the Bhaktivedanta Hospital taken on the 23rd of December 2008.
Still HH needs a lot of more therapy in order to be able to talk, stand and
walk as these are very hard to achieve in a short time, in these pictures
Guru maharaja was taken for the first time for a tour to the ground floor
outside area and to the small temple inside the building of the hospital as
well as to the lobby to have darsan of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Jagannath

At Penang Island Ratha Yatra you can always be sure to be immersed in Kirtan and dance. This festival was celebrated this year on 13 December. The chariot procession started at 5.30pm from the Dato Keramat Sivan Temple with crowd of devotees only enough to pull the chariots of Lord Jagannatha, Lord Baladeva and Subhadra Devi and Gaura Nitai. But within one hour the crowd swelled to about one thousand and when the chariots reached little India at about 8pm the crowd had jammed the streets. At little India some tourists and onlookers joined the festival, singing and dancing with the devotees.

Sunday, December 21 - Evening Report:
We are now at Bhaktivedanta hospital. The devotee doctors at Bhaktivedanta hospital gave a special reception upon my arrival. Doctors are giving me special care and I feel at home. Various therapies are being given such as physio, facial and acupuncture. Hope it all works.
Everyday Jagannath Deities are brought to the patients’ room. Srila Prabhupada's bhajan and lecture are being played on tape constantly. 3 times in a day they have spiritual program. At 10 am siksastaka prayers are recited in front of Srila Prabhupada's murti. In other hospitals they only give medical attention but I am happy to be here. This hospital also has good medical facilities.
I am still not able to walk on my own. Before I leave the hospital I want to be able to walk. Hearing all the letters is enlivening.

UPDATE:23-12-08 7:30PM - HH Bhaktivrjendranandana Maharaj was discharged from hospital on 23-12-08 at 5.00PM.
UPDATE: 17-12-08 5PM - Dr Santi Rupa mataji met with the IJN authorities this afternoon and an angiogram is scheduled for Tuesday, 23 December.
His Holiness is stable and in good spirits but is NOT to EXERT himself. (especially so if put in a circumstance to have to speak to too many guests.)
Please continue prayers.
His Holiness Bhaktivrjendranandana Swami Maharaj, President of ISKCON Malaysia is now hospitalised at the Institut Jantung Negara for heart tests and observations. After Maharaj complained about fever, cough and giddiness yesterday afternoon while at the Sri Jagannatha Mandir ISKCON KL, HH was immediately driven to the IJN by Kalpa Vrksa dasa. Dr. Krishna at the emergency centre reported that there was no need to worry as there was no indication of heart attack.
NOTE: DOCTORS HAVE DISCOURAGED VISITS SIMPLY SO THAT MAHARAJ GETS PROPER REST. FOR NOW EVEN SPEAKING IS EXERTING FOR MAHARAJ.

More than 1500 people of Chinese and Indian origin thronged at the Bhaktivedanta Cutural Centre (BCC) from 9.00 am to 2.30pm enjoying the delicacies at the 50 food and drinks stalls of the "Food and Fun Fair "organised by the BCC Youth Section.
The 35 food stalls offered almost all Malaysian preparations and some western delicacies. Adi Kartri dasa and his bhajan team took to the stage and entertained the crowd with lots of Hare Krsna mantra and popular bhajans. "My Sweet Lord" of George Harrison was a hit.
About 70 children who had joined the BCC Little Vaisnava Camp from 11th to 13th were happy to culminate their session by joining their parents for the food fair.

Hare Krsna.
 His Holiness Prabhavisnu Maharaj the co-GBC for ISKCON Malaysia will join HH Bhaktivrjendranandana Swami, HH Bhanu Swami and HH Janananda Goswami for the ISKCON Klang Ratha Yatra on Sunday 21 December 2008. HH Prabhavisnu Maharaj is well know for his wonderful kirtans and bhajans, and for his Caitanya Caritamrta classes. Of course Maharaj is also most well known for his dedication to book distribution. From the year 1983 to about 1990 Maharaj used to specially visit Malaysia many times a year and inspire the local devotees by himself taking the lead role in the December and Thaipusam book marathons.His Holiness will also grace the ISKCON Bedong Ratha Yatra on 27 December. |
