ISKCON Taiping Sri Damodara House Programme 2009 |

Hare Krishna. Please accept my humble obeisances. All Glories to HDG Srila Prabhupada. All Glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga. On behalf of ISKCON Taiping (Taiping Hare Krishna Bhaktivedanta Ashram), I would like to humbly announce that we have completed Damodara Ghee Lamps offering marathon. More than 10,000 people participated in the ghee lamp offerings while we were on house to house visits covering a total of 2527 homes. If was a blissful preaching opportunity for us and surely a nice opportunity to serve Lord Damodara for those who participated in the ghee lamp offerings. The results this year leaped 120% compare to last year. The results and benefits from this effort shall be dedicated to HH Jayapataka Swami who has always been the inspiration to all of us. We pray to Lord Nrshimha Deva to bless His Holiness with full recovery.

| On Wednesday, 4th November, Ms Vanitamani Mataji organized a Damodara program in a Tamil school in Alma, Seberang Perai. HG Kisore Krishna Prabhu, HG Siva Caitanya Prabhu, Bhakta Chris and my humble self assisted mataji with the programme.
It was an opportunity to engage more than 400 students in chanting Hare Krishna, hearing Krishna Katha, offering ghee lamps to Lord Damodara and not to forget honour Krishna prasadam. The following day, the same team of devotees with Bhakta Hari joining were welcomed at SRJK(T) Bukit Mertajam. This time 600 students participated in the Damodara program. Siva Caitanya Prabhu made special suji halava mixed with dates and bananas which completely captured everyone's taste buds. One teacher even spent some time learning the halva recipe and hints for making halva from Siva Caitanya Prabhu. It was nice to see all the teachers and the students in the program. Many devotee children are studying at the Bukit Mertajam school includingTusta Krishna [son of Tribhuvanatha prabhu] , Vrnda, Kapilan and Kaviraj [children of Govnda Gaura pr] and Rukmini [daughter of Indulekha Mataji]. Dear Devotees,
Hare Krishna. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga.
On behalf of ISKCON Bedong, we would like to humbly invite all of you to our 6th Annual Ratha Yatra Festival on the 14th November 2009 (Saturday). The procession will start at 5.30pm from Vinayagar Temple, Bedong. Please see the map attached below for the route of the procession. HH Janananda Goswami Maharaj will grace the occasion. We hope all the devotees will accept this as personal invitation and attend our Ratha Yatra. Your presence is highly anticipated and much appreciated.

Behalf of ISKCON Kluang, we would like to invite everyone to Sri Sri Jaganatha Baladeva Subadra devi Ratha Yatra or Festival of Chariot which schedule to be celebrated in Kluang on 29th November 2009. We expecting procession start around 5.45pm from Kuil Sri Maha Mariamman, Jalan Hospital and finish by 8.30pm on the same place. We expecting all of Yours Grace to be personally present during the festival and giving us opportunity to serve everyone of you. This will be great fortune for us if Your Grace will kindly present for this festival. Please kindly make a note to Yours Grace calendar on this important festival. Hare Krishna. When the premise rented by ISKCON Sungei Petani was faced with space constraint for accommodating members and festival needs, HG Krishna Daya prabhu took a bold step in March 2007 and initiated the purchase of a 6200 sq. ft land for RM90,000/**. He then proceeded to submit building plans to the local council. Construction on the 4,800 sq. ft. Vedic Education & Cultural Building began in September 2008. The ground floor is dedicated to temple hall and Deity services. Total cost of construction is RM400,000/**. ISKCON Sungei Siput is in need of RM100,000/** to complete the final stages. Ratha Yatras at Kulim and Sitiawan |

   HH Janananda Goswami was at Kulim on 31 October and at Sitiawan on 7 November to grace the 3rd and 17th Annual Lord Jagannatha Ratha Yatras respectively. Maharaj delivered the Ratha Yatra lectures. More than 300 devotees attended the Kulim Ratha Yatra organised by the Taman Kenari Nama Hatta under the leadership of HG Ananda Dulal prabhu and the supervision of the ISKCON Bukit Mertajam branch. At Sitiawan it was also an attendance of about 300 devotees for the procession.
At Sitiawan the procession began at the Sri Sithi Vinayagar temple at 6PM and paraded through the main roads of the town centre stopping at two more temples along the way. HH Janananda Goswami's preaching itinerary is given below. 13 Nov - Evening Gita Class at ISKCON Alor Setar 14 Nov - ISKCON Bedong Ratha Yatra 15 Nov - Morning Class at ISKCON Taiping and Evening Class at ISKCON Teluk Intan 16 Nov - Evening Class at ISKCON Kuala Lumpur Maharaj leaves to the Phillippines on 17th November and returns to Malaysia on 4th December.

Youth drama a hit at Skudai Ratha Yatra programme |

 The Malaysian Indian Congress Chairman for Johore State Dato Balakrishnan together with ISKCON Skudai Chairman Sriman Sarva Jaya Gaura dasa adhikari and a senior ISKCON KL member Sriman Tattva Vit prabhu jointly inaugurated the 4th Annual Skudai Ratha Yatra at the Kaliamman temple at Jalan Skudai at 6PM in the presence of about 100 devotees on 28 October 2009 .
As soon as the chariot reached the local council hall after the procession HG Kripa Sindhu Krishna prabhu led Arati and Kirtan. Since it was Damodara month, the organisers arranged for all devotees and guests, about 250 of them by now, to offer ghee lamps to a picture of Lord Damodara placed on top a very beautiful make-shift altar.

On the behalf of ISKCON Sitiawan, we would like to humbly beg at your feet to kindly accept our invitation to attend Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra on Saturday, 7th November 2009.
During this 17th Annual Ratha Yatra Festival Lord Jagannath will ride on His cart through Sitiawan roads and streets to bestow His causeless mercy upon the general people. And this year we are celebrating Ratha Yatra festival with very high spirits and great feeling as the festival will start and end at the Sri Sithi Vinayagar Cultural Hall Sitiawan Perak. Procession will begin at 6PM and end at 8.00PM at the Sri Sithi Vinayagar Hall. His Holiness Janananda Goswami Maharaj will be delivering a spiritual discourse at about 8.30PM. Sumptous Prasadam will be served to all devotees. Your presence will uplift the morale and enthusiasm of all the souls assembled there to celebrate Lord Jagannath Ratha Yatra. So kindly allocate this day for ISKCON Sitiawan which will surely be very pleasing to
Srila Prabhupada who brought this Ratha Yatra festival from Jagannath Puri to other towns in the world.

Battle of Kurukshetra ki Jai
Hare Krishna dearest devotees
The previously postponed Battle of Kurukshetra 2009 will be held on Sunday, 8 November 2009 at Sri Jagannatha Mandir, Kuala Lumpur from 8am - 2pm.
